Who is this course for?

The City and Guilds 2365 Level 2 or 3 Electrical Installations Diploma – Recognition Programme is aimed at those who have experience in the electrical field, either in the United Kingdom, or overseas.

It is expected that you would have experience across a range of work and life scenarios that you have gained knowledge and practical skills through life experience, including work, self study and more.

This course is not right for you if already have an Electrical Apprenticeship.

What does the Recognition Programme cover?

This recognition programme is designed to prove your skills and knowledge on your pathway to becoming a fully qualified electrician by achieving the NVQ Level 3.

The recognition programme is designed to assess you in what you already know and allows you to prove your competency against the training standards. 

When you complete this recognition programme successfully, it is expected that you will be able to immediately progress to the next qualification, suitable to your needs. This could include the Level 3 in Electrical Installation, 2346 Experienced Worker Assessment, or other courses as appropriate. This is dependent on the outcomes of your Recognition assessment.

How long does it take to achieve?

The recognition process can be undertaken in as quick as 3-4 weeks or longer, depending on which qualification you are applying for.

You will be required to undertake the assessments that are set for each unit, as well as demonstrate your practical ability.

NVQ Level 3 Progression

Once you have completed the Level 2 in Electrical Installation, you can fast track across to the Experienced Worker NVQ Level 3, only if you have more than 5 years experience, and you are currently working in the industry. 

If you wish to undertake the Standard NVQ Level 3 route without 5 years experience, you will be required to undertake the Level 2 & 3 in Electrical Installation to progress.
